We all experience problems throughout our lives. Talking to a professional counsellor, in a neutral capacity and in a safe environment can really make a difference. I offer a non-judgemental and confidential service and will help you to assess what your goals are and look at how you can work towards them, with new ways of relating.
Many people will put off coming to see a counsellor for years and will put up with the following problems, despite them having a very negative impact on peoples’ lives:
Depression and sadness
Anxiety, Stress and Panic Attacks
Alcohol and drug mis-use and eating disorders
Using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (C.B.T.), Solution focused techniques and psychodynamic theory, I work with clients to help them to understand their inner world and put together their often very dis-jointed thoughts. I explore with clients their relating patterns with partners, their family and colleagues and work towards their goals and ultimately towards a better life.
The Initial appointment gives me an opportunity to hear about what has brought you to counselling and your presenting issues. I appreciate the courage it takes to make that first step and sometimes clients are unable to pinpoint what their difficulties are.
We often prioritise many other things in life. Perhaps we should prioritise our emotional well-being and happiness.
